CSK Players List 2025
Chennai Super Kings bought a total of 17 players in the IPL Mega Auction 2025. This year Afghan spinner Noor Ahmed was the most expensive player for Chennai, whom CSK included in their squad for Rs 10 crore. IPL 2025 Released and Retained Players
All IPL franchises have released the list of players retention for IPL Mega Auction 2024. Now we will read about the team-wise retained and released players of IPL.
CSK Retained Players List 2025
Chennai Super Kings team has retained 4 capped and one uncapped player. The 4 capped players retained include current captain Rituraj Gaikwad, Shivam Dubey, Ravindra Jadeja and Sri Lankan fast bowler Mathish Pathirana, while former captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been retained as an uncapped player.
In IPL, a franchise has a maximum purse of Rs 120 crore to buy players. Chennai Super Kings have retained 5 players for Rs 65 crore and bought 17 players for the remaining Rs 55 crore.

A total of 20 players have been released by the CSK franchise and Chennai Super Kings have not retained any other overseas player except Sri Lankan fast bowler Mathish Pathirana.
